“Whenever our father wants to get away from the busy routine, he would take us to Bataan,” thus reminisced Sen. Imee Marcos when she spoke before a crowd of Bataan residents last Saturday at the Bataan Peoples Center.

The lady senator who led the distribution of financial assistance to individuals in crisis situation in Mariveles, Limay and Orion towns before proceeding to Balanga said her father then former president Ferdinand Edralin Marcos used to hie off to Bataan with his family and stayed for a while at then Talaga Beach in Mariveles town. “Hindi ko alam basta sabi ng father ko dito bumagsak ang Filipino at dito rin sa Bataan muli tayong babangon,” Ms. Marcos said to the applause of audience.

Local officials led by Bataan Gov. Joet.Garcia profusely thanked the Marcoses for the various assistance in the form of infrastructure projects implemented in the province.
