Board Member Mylene Serrano, chairperson of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Tourism representing Bataan Gov. Joet Garcia has received the Plaque of Recognition from Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) for the Province of Bataan.
Serrano in her message said, “It is truly an honor to represent Gov. Joet Garcia and our province. This recognition is a testament of our continued efforts to promote tourism, protect our cultural heritage, and support sustainable development in Bataan.”
The Province of Bataan was recognized by the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) for its initiatives in promoting sustainable tourism, preserving cultural heritage, and boosting economic development.
The award was given during the 2025 TIEZA-TEMZ Partners and Stakeholders Appreciation Event held at The Manila Hotel.
Bataan was honored for the Mt. Samat Flagship Tourism Economic Zone (TEZ), a major project that contributes significantly to both national tourism and local economic growth.
Serrano was warmly welcomed at the event by TIEZA Chief Operating Officer Mark Lapid.
She also thanked TIEZA for recognizing Bataan’s contributions to nation-building through tourism.
TIEZA, an agency under the Department of Tourism, is responsible for the development and maintenance of tourism infrastructure across the country.
