BPSU celebrates success

Anchored on the theme, “Expanding landscape on innovative education through change drivers towards global academic excellence”, the Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) held its Annual Commencement Exercises for Academic Year 2022-2023 on October 2, 2023, at the Bataan People’s Center.

Graduates, awardees and their families; faculty members; staff; school officials and guests, gathered to witness and be part of the significant milestone in the lives of the graduating class, the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance.

In addition to recognizing the graduates’ academic excellence, BPSU also conferred an Honorary Doctorate Degree, posthumously awarded to the late Cong. Enrique “Tet” Garcia, received by his family led by his wife, Mrs. Vicky Garcia. This honor was bestowed to recognize his profound and enduring contributions to the academe and the overall improvement in the quality of life of Bataeños.

As graduates basked in the spotlight, commencement speaker for the first batch of graduates from the BPSU Main Campus and Graduate School, 3rd District Representative Gila Garcia shared a timeless adage: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” While the challenges of the world may seem daunting to some, Cong. Gila Garcia gently reminded the graduates of their potential to overcome self-doubt and strive for greatness and success in their future endeavors.

Similarly, 2nd District Representative Abet Garcia, commencement speaker for the second batch of graduates from the Abucay, Bagac, Balanga, Dinalupihan and Orani campuses emphasized that being a proud Filipino means championing each day with a brave and unwavering heart, conquering any adversaries life may bring.

The event serves as a testament to BPSU’s enduring commitment to excellence in education, student empowerment, and its unwavering dedication to shaping the leaders of tomorrow. Filled with promise, potential, and hope, the 3,000 graduates embark on the next phase of their journey toward their chosen career paths, toward a better life.
Congratulations to the Class of 2023!
