A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is signed between Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) and Maejo University in Thailand for mutual academic and research engagement.
BPSU Vice President for Research, Extension and Training Services Dr. Hermogenes M. Paguia signed the MOU for BPSU President Gregorio J. Rodis in a ceremony in Chiangmai, Thailand.
Paguia, representing BPSU attended the 5-day 23rd Asian Association of Agricultural Colleges and Universities (AAACU) Biennial Conference and General Assembly cum 50th AAACU anniversary with the theme “Revolutionizing Agricultural Innovations Towards Social Sustainability” held in Chiangmai, Thailand a week ago.
In the said conference, Paguia presented BPSU innovations towards agriculture, sharing the best practices of the University on research. He tackled the important contributions of research innovation centers and hubs on research productivity of the academic community.
Paguia also discussed “knowledge-sharing among academic institutions” with other universities Tokyo University of Agriculture, National Pingtung University, UPLB, SEARCA, RSU, Western Philippines University, Central Mindanao University, MSU, USM, UEP, LSPU, Kasetsart University , National Chia-Yu University, Mariano Marcos State University, and University of Rizal System among others.
Another MOU signing was also held for the new member-universities of AAACU.
Paguia said the week-long conference is a significant event for institutional leaders involved in the advancement of agriculture education.
