The province of Bataan is set for a significant infrastructure upgrade with the launch of the 14.9-hectare “Collonade at the Capitol” project in Barangay San Jose, Balanga City. The development will enhance several key landmarks, including The Bunker, the Bataan People’s Center, and the under-construction International Symposia Directorate Assembly Hall (ISDAH).
The ISDAH, a major convention center currently being built, is expected to be completed by 2031. Upon its completion, it is anticipated to host international events, further promoting Bataan as a prime location for global symposia and conferences. The Bataan People’s Center, a hub for cultural and public events, will also undergo upgrades as part of the project.
This initiative is part of Bataan’s broader goal to enhance its infrastructure and attract more business, tourism, and international engagement. The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) is playing a key role in these developments, aiming to strengthen the province’s economic growth and competitiveness in the region. More information on AFAB’s efforts can be found at afab.gov.ph.
The Collonade at the Capitol project is expected to have a significant impact on Bataan’s local economy and international appeal, positioning the province as a center for business, culture, and diplomacy in the years to come.
