The construction of P25 million public market has started in Barangay Alion, Mariveles. Al Balan, Punong Barangay of Alion, said he and his constituents are very grateful to Bataan Gov. Albert Garcia and Congressman Jose Enrique Garcia III of the province’s Second District for the project.

Balan said phase 1 of the project which involves construction of various infrastructures was allocated P15 million while the second phase for the construction of dry goods and wet sections were funded with P10 million.

At present, Alion residents do their marketing chores either in Mariveles town proper or Balanga City. “With our public market soon to rise, my constituents need not travel far to buy their basic needs,” Balan said.
