In celebration for the World Environment celebration, this month of June, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) -Bataan headed by PENRO Raul Mamac through his representatives in a radio interview said that, they have been preparing a lot of activities that will focus on their priority programs such as, Enhanced National Greening Program (ENGP), Manila Bay Rehabilitation, Forest Protection, Anti-illegal Logging, Clean Air, Clean Water and Solid Waste Management, Enhanced Biodiversity Conservation, Scaling-up of coastal and marine ecosystem and others will be highlighted in their different activities.
Ms. Mila Ramirez, the focal person for these activities said that their office hopes to intensify, improve and properly manage the environment through these priority programs.
In their enhanced national greening program, they maintain a total of 2,500 bamboo planting stocks in Dinalupihan ready for planting; their target of 150 hectares of areas to be planted, has already been completed ahead of time, May of this year; while to intensify forest protection and anti-illegal logging, their office purchased two drones for monitoring, maintain forest rangers stations, have involved forest communities in forest fire protection, fireline establishment, lawin patrolling and hiring of more FPO’s.
