PENRO Raul Mamac said, five of the agency’s ten priority programs are included in DENR Bataan’s implementation plan this year.

He said these programs include Enhanced Biodiversity Conservation, Improved Land Administration and Management, Manila Bay Clean Up Program, and Intensified Forest Protection and Anti-Illegal Logging, during the airing of their radio program “Bataan at Kalikasan” at 91.1 Sikat FM on Tuesday.

He said former Secretary Roy Cimatu hatched the DENR 10 priority programs under the current Duterte administration, which are now being continued by Secretary Jim O. Sampulna.

DENR Bataan Conservation and Development Section Chief Mila Ramirez said other priority programs of the agency are Geo-hazard, Groundwater Assessment and Responsible Mining; Enhanced National Greening Program; Clean Air Program; Scaling Up of Coastal and Marine Ecosystem Program; Solid Waste Management Program; and Clean Water Program.

Mamac said they are deeply committed to the task of conserving and protecting the environment assigned to them.

He said they have plenty of things to do in the agency but assured the public that they are not sleeping on their job.
