The digitization of local government units (LGUs) will enhance business activities because it would help government agencies operate with ease and deliver the services promptly and accurately. It would also address the problem of red tape. This was the gist of Bataan Gov. Jose Enrique S. Garcia III brief remark during the launching of eGovPH app and kick-off ceremony for eLGU at Peoples Center on Tuesday.

The governor said the LGUs’ capability to deliver good service would be a boon to stakeholders. Most local and national government agencies are already on line. He said digitization aims to simplify the various online services offered by the government. The program which was initiated by the DICT discussed the current challenges of government service like red tape as well as multiple and complex websites.
