The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) and the Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO) led the distribution of cash assistance to 1,273 fisherfolks affected by oil spill in the municipalities of Limay and Mariveles, on January 17, 2025, at the Limay Sports Complex.

Each beneficiary received 5,000 pesos from the 6 Million peso fund allocated by the Office of the President to alleviate the impact of the oil spill on their livelihoods.

Present in the said activity are Governor Joet Garcia, Limay Mayor Richie David, Mariveles Mayor AJ Concepcion, Office of the 3rd Congressional District – Bataan, Chief of Staff Rollie Rojas, Provincial Administrator Alice Pizarro and BFAR PFO Harlyn Pursuelo.
