Excursionists warned vs poorly maintained vehicles

Excursionists from Metro Manila and neighboring provinces of Bulacan and Pampanga were advised to use good running conditioned vehicles before venturing into holding picnics and “invade” beach resorts in Bagac, a tourism hub in Bataan.

Nick Santiago Ancheta, municipal administrator of Bagac, appealed to excursionists from other provinces seeking pleasure in Bagac beaches to double check their vehicles to ensure safe travel.

He said: “Most of the accidents during the outing and vacation spree happened on the road going to Bagac because some motorists are not familiar with the zigzag road and sharp curves along the way.”

In his recent Facebook page, Ancheta asked the motorists to check their vehicles’ brake, tires, and steering wheel to avoid any accident.

As per record in the municipal government of Bagac, the coastal town known for white powdery sand similar to Boracay’s draws thousands upon thousands of beach-goers from different places in Metro Manila and Central Luzon.

Beach owners are required to impose strict regulations including the hiring of beach watchers to ensure the safety of swimmers and beach cleaners.
