The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) plans to hold regular workers’ assemblies to continue communication line between workers, management and Freeport officials.
Hazel Keith Elloren, of AFAB’s corporate affairs department, said the idea of holding regular interaction with workers was broached after the successful general assembly of workers held last March 14 at the FAB auditorium.
The assembly had Bataan Gov. Joet Garcia as guest speaker.
It was also attended by AFAB Administrator Emmanuel Pineda, Mariveles Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion and some members of the Sangguniang Bayan (municipal council).
It was the first time after the pandemic that the governor met the 250 workers from 30 FAB factories to bring to fore various issues of concern in the Freeport- transportation, social services and health concerns.
Gov. Joet also entertained some relevant questions raised by concerned workers more particularly on transportation and labor woes.
