Vice Governor Cris Garcia said one way of keeping the balance between environment and industry is through its mangrove-planting program and this is what the Provincial government of Bataan has been doing.
The vice governor spoke before participants of the Media Tour of the Balanga Wetlands and Nature Park program hosted by Wetlands International Philippines held at The Bunker, capitol compound on February 26. She said environment conservation and rehabilitation is a priority thrust of the Provincial Government of Bataan. The vice governor cited the annual mangrove planting activities in the towns of Orion and Orani.
The Media Tour of the Balanga Wetlands and Nature Park aimed to empower and increase the capacities of media practitioners to effectively communicate the immense value of wetland ecosystems through an experiential media tour and workshop.
