GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD) and GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co (GMEC) distributed a total of 2,190 relief packs worth more than P1 million to the local government unit of Mariveles, and Provincial Government of Bataan, declared in the state of calamity due to the onslaught of Typhoons Egay and Falcon.
The first batch of relief goods was distributed last July 29, in partnership with the Mariveles LGU through Mayor AJ Concepcion benefitting the affected residents of the plants’ host town. GMEC and GNPD CSR team and employee volunteers visited the municipality of Morong in coordination with Gov. Joet Garcia on August 2 distributing relief packages for the distressed fisherfolks.
With the relief operations, the twin companies displayed strong commitment to help others in times of calamities and disaster and igniting volunteerism and unselfishness among employees.
