Anchored on the theme, “Empowering the Future, Redefining Progress,” GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co. (GMEC) and GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD) launched their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) P.R.O.G.R.E.S.S. flagship program on June 25, 2024.

The launch included a commitment signing among the Provincial Government of Bataan led by Vice Governor Ma. Cristina Garcia, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), the Department of Education, local government units, and various civil society organizations.

In her message, Vice Governor Cris Garcia emphasized that the CSRs paved the way for collaboration between the government and the public sector aimed at protecting the environment and natural resources through initiatives such as mangrove conservation, sea turtle protection, coastal cleanups, tree planting, the creation of bambusetums, and the development of eco-parks.

Furthermore, the program aims to enrich the lives of residents and communities near their business operations, aligning with their core principles, P.R.O.G.R.E.S.S.: P – Protect Marine Life R – Reforest Land O – Optimize Wealth from Waste G – Generate Livelihood Skills and Income R – Rehabilitate Social Infrastructure E – Elevate Educational Opportunities S – Safeguard Quality Health Access S – Strengthen Disaster Resiliency.
