GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD) and GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co. (GMEC) launched Thursday what it described “safety culture revolution” in work areas.
“We are making the safety of our workers a top priority”, said GNPD plant manger Anton Besaris. “We cannot manage our business if we cannot ensure the safety of our workers”, he added. “We are still young in terms of commercial operation but we must be mature when it comes to work safety”, he pointed out. “Whether they are our personnel or workers of our contractors, we want everyone to be safe”, the plant manager said.
Media men from Bataan and Zambales had a plant tour Thursday on GNPD and GMEC facilities to familiarize them how the power plants operate. The twin power plants located in Mariveles, are major power producers supporting Luzon and Visayas grid.
