Governor Jose Enrique S. Garcia III showcased Bataan’s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Projects during the Makati Business Club-Government Partnership Forum held at Hilton Manila on November 15, 2024.
Central to Gov. Joet Garcia’s presentation was “The Bunker,” a structure symbolizing history, heroism, and a tribute to World War II veterans. This project stands out as a significant PPP achievement, constructed without financial burden on the Provincial Government of Bataan. The Bunker now serves as a one-stop shop for public services, housing various local government offices and agencies to benefit the people of Bataan.
Additionally, Gov. Joet highlighted The Colonnade, a major initiative aligned with the province’s 100-year sustainability plan. The Colonnade is set to accommodate major investment opportunities, including The Pylon, ISDAh, and other commercial spaces.
Aside from presenting these flagship projects, Gov. Garcia emphasized the critical role of the Public-Private Partnership and Investment Center (PPPIC). Said department is tasked with monitoring, leading, and attracting potential investors to ensure the province’s continued economic growth and prosperity. Other notable figures in attendance at the event included Baguio City Mayor Benjie Magalong, Makati City Mayor Abby Binay, and Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr.
