For being the first barangays in Bataan first district to accomplish the 10-Year Barangay Development Master Plan, seven barangays from Samal each received service vehicles as reward from the Provincial Government of Bataan. These are Barangays East Calaguiman, Palili, Imelda, West Calaguiman, Ibaba, Daan Bago, and West Daan Bago. Gov. Joet Garcia turned over the vehicles to the respective punong barangays witnessed by Mayor Alex Acuzar at the municipal grounds on Monday during the opening of Bisita Bayan program in Samal.
The governor congratulated the seven barangays for now having service vehicles that they can use to better serve their constituents. Acuzar also congratulated them.
Eight vehicles were intended as reward for the first district that include the towns of Abucay, Orani, Hermosa, and Samal. Municipal Administrator Jay Lat said it helped that Acuzar strongly motivated all their punong barangays to promptly complete their respective Barangay Development Master Plan citing its utmost importance to development and announced the giving of P50,000 incentive as well to the first barangay. The P50,000 cash incentive was awarded to Barangay East Calaguiman on Monday by Acuzar with the governor.
