Bataan Governor Joet Garcia spearheaded the distribution of MacBook laptops to 3,234 public school teachers, including elementary and junior high school department heads, during a ceremony held at the Bataan People’s Center on Thursday, December 19.
The initiative is part of the provincial government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education in Bataan. Governor Garcia emphasized the significant role of the laptops in improving teachers’ productivity and efficiency. He also highlighted plans to implement a province-wide Learning Management System (LMS), which aims to create an online database for teachers and provide students with access to various modules and learning resources.
“This initiative underscores our gratitude to our modern-day heroes—our teachers—who tirelessly fulfill their sworn duty to impart knowledge and nurture the skills of our students,” Governor Garcia stated.
Joining the event were Vice Governor Cris Garcia, Pusong Pinoy Partylist Representative Cong. Jett Nisay, Department of Education Bataan Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Carolina S. Violeta, 1st District Representative and Chairman on Education Atty. Jomar Gaza, and Power Mac Center CEO Lawrence Sison.
This program is a key step toward Governor Garcia’s vision of integrating technology into the education system, ensuring Bataan remains at the forefront of innovative learning.
