Gov. Joet takes oath

Following his victory in the midterm elections last May 12 where he garnered a total of 388,011 votes, re-elected Governor Joet Garcia took his oath of office on Monday, June 30, during ceremonies held at the Bataan People’s Center, paving the way for his continued leadership. His oath was administered by Board Member Romeo A. Austria, President of the Provincial Liga ng mga Barangay Bataan Chapter.

Joining the governor in the ceremony were Bataan’s congressional representatives. Cong. Tony Roman, Cong. Abet Garcia, Cong. Gila Garcia, and Pusong Pinoy Partylist Representative Jett Nisay who took their oaths of office before Gov. Garcia himself.

Vice Governor Cris Garcia, along with members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, municipal and city mayors, vice mayors and councilors, also participated in the mass oath-taking ceremony.

In his address, Gov. Garcia highlighted his administration’s priority programs aimed at further uplifting the lives of Bataeños. These include the EduChild Parenting Program, the Bataeño Pass, the Barangay Development Masterplan, and expanded health and social welfare initiatives.
