Inton highlights Hermosa’s success story

Mayor Jopet Inton of Hermosa, showcased the municipality’s remarkable journey in urban development at the recently concluded 31st National Developers Convention (NatCon) held at Radisson Blu Cebu, Cebu City.

Themed “Lokal na Bai; Building National Growth Through Regional Development,” the event was organized in collaboration with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and spearheaded by Sen. Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito, Chairman of Urban Planning, Housing, and Resettlement Senate of the Philippines. The convention served as a platform for key stakeholders, housing developers, and government representatives to share insights and best practices in the housing industry.

Mayor Inton was invited as a resource person to shed light on Hermosa’s innovative initiatives, notably the ongoing Hermosa Mega Build Project, which has opened doors for developers, practitioners, and various sectors to contribute their plans, ideas, and projects for the betterment of the community in Hermosa. During his speech, Mayor Inton emphasized the significance of the convention in deepening understanding about policies, technologies, and innovative approaches in housing and real estate sectors. The event featured sessions, workshops, and discussions aimed at enhancing knowledge about effective housing strategies and improvements in property development.

Addressing the attendees, Mayor Inton expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in the leadership of Hermosa. He stated, “Maraming salamat sa inyong tiwala sa ating liderato at sa inyong pagpili at pag imbita sa akin sa Pambansang pagtitipon na ito upang ibahagi ang proseso ng pag-unlad ng Bayan ng Hermosa! Tunay itong isang malaking karangalan para sa ating mga Hermoseño!” (Thank you very much for your trust in our leadership and for choosing to invite me to this National convention to share the progress of the town of Hermosa! It is indeed a great honor for all of us in Hermosa!)

The NatCon also fostered collaboration between national and local government bodies, encouraging a holistic approach to sustainable urban planning and housing development. Participants engaged in meaningful dialogues, sharing valuable experiences and innovative ideas that are vital for the growth of cities and municipalities across the Philippines.

As Hermosa continues its journey toward progress and prosperity, the town remains committed to sustainable development practices, ensuring a high quality of life for its residents and setting an inspiring example for other local government units in the country. The convention served as a testament to the town’s dedication to excellence and innovation, positioning Hermosa as a leading force in the field of urban planning and housing development.
