Japanese businessmen have expressed interest in investing in the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB). Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) led by Group Head of the Office of the Administrator Atty. Percival B. Peralta recently met with a delegation of Japanese investors in Manila.
The foreign contingent was led by Toyoken Co. Ltd. Chairperson Junichiro Tokunaga, with representatives from companies previously engaged during the 2024 investment mission.
The meeting builds on connections formed during the March 2024 outbound investment mission, which was led by AFAB Administrator and CEO Hussein P. Pangandaman. The Japanese are interested in commercial developments, entertainment and leisure facilities, agriculture, and restaurant businesses inside the Freeport.
