Relevant experience acquired through job order (JO) or contract of service (COS) covered by a contract or MOA may be considered for meeting the experience requirement.
Likewise, relevant experience acquired through volunteer work on full time basis, as certified by the HRMO or authorized officials, may be considered for meeting the experience requirement. These and other useful information were discussed in two-day (Nov. 16-17) orientation on work rules and ethics in the workplace conducted by the Bataan Provincial Government’s Human Resource Management Office at the Bataan Peoples Center.
However, Edgardo C. Cruz, field director of Civil Service Commission, explained that the services of COS and JO workers are not covered by CSC laws and regulations, “thus, not creditable as government service.” “They do not enjoy the benefits being received by the government employees such as paid leave, personnel economic relief allowance, representation and transportation allowance,” the CSC said.
