First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos spearheaded the launch of the community-based healthcare project “Lab For All: Laboratory, Consultation, and Medicine for All” at the Bataan People’s Center, Balanga City, Bataan, Tuesday morning.
The Lab For All project provides free medical services such as physical and medical examinations, free consultations, basic laboratory tests such as blood chemistry and hematology, ECG and digital X-ray, and free medicines.
The event was attended by DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, DOH Undersecretary Eric Tayag, Bataan Governor Joet Garcia, Vice Governor Cris Garcia, Bataan 2nd District Rep. Abet Garcia, Pampanga Vice Governor Lilia G. Pineda, Bataan Mayors, and other government officials.
In her speech, the First Lady said that Lab For All aims to provide equitable access to quality and affordable medical services. She also said that this is one of the promises of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to strengthen and uplift the health sector, which he considers as one of the keys to achieving a more stable nation.
The Lab For All project has also provided medical services to the residents of Bulacan, Batangas City, Baguio, Tarlac, and Laguna.
