Love is in the air as Mariveles Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion announces the much-awaited Kasalang Bayan 2025, an annual mass wedding ceremony set to take place this February.

The event, in collaboration with the Sangguniang Bayan led by Vice Mayor Angelito S. Rubia, the Local Civil Registrar’s Office, and the Philippine Statistics Authority, promises to unite couples in matrimony – all for free.

The Kasalang Bayan initiative aims to provide a hassle-free and memorable wedding for Mariveleños, highlighting the importance of love, family, and community. To ensure smooth processing, Mayor Concepcion encourages interested couples to visit the Civil Registrar’s Office at the municipal hall for interviews and to submit the necessary documents.

Eligibility and Requirements – Couples of various age groups, including those with unique circumstances, are welcome to join. Required documents include valid IDs, birth certificates, and family planning seminar certificates. Special provisions apply to applicants who are previously married, have been cohabiting for five or more years, or are marrying a foreign national. The deadline for submission of requirements is on January 16, 2025 (Thursday), giving couples ample time to prepare.

Strengthening Community Bonds – Mayor Concepcion emphasized the significance of the event, stating, “This is not just about weddings; this is about celebrating love and strengthening the bonds of our community. We want to give every couple the opportunity to start their married life with joy and dignity.” The Kasalang Bayan has become a hallmark of unity and generosity in Mariveles, embodying the slogan, “Mariveles Muna, Mariveles Una.”
