Mariveles Acting Mayor Lito Rubia spearheaded the launching of “Polio ay Iwasan, Bakuna ang Sandigan” (Polio Vaccine and Vitamin and Supplementation) program in the municipality.

He was joined by Administrator Tito Catipon, Councilor Ivan Ricafrente, Councilor Susan Madla-Murillo, Municipal ABC Pres. Al Balan, Councilor Vonnel Isip, and Municipal Health Officer Dr. Gerald Sebastian. Barangay captains also attended the program launching and pledged support to its implementation in their respective areas. DOH and provincial health officers also joined the program launching.

Rubia said the program is vital as the health of Mariveles residents particularly the youngsters is at stake, adding he is happy that officials and other stakeholders vow to work together. He also said Mayor AJ Concepcion expressed satisfaction with this current health development in the municipality. Sebastian said they are targetting polio free Mariveles with the program.
