Hermosa Mayor Antonio Joseph “Jopet” Inton recently attended the annual Asian Financial Forum (AFF) in Hong Kong, where global trends in the financial services sector were discussed.
The event provided a platform for leaders to explore opportunities and strategies for economic growth. During the forum, Mayor Inton proudly showcased the town of Hermosa as a potential hub for business development, particularly in collaboration with the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB). The 17th Asian Financial Forum (AFF), held in Hong Kong, served as a dynamic platform for thought leadership, innovation, and networking among global financial and business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs. Some of the highlights include Multilateral Cooperation: The theme of the forum was “Multilateral Cooperation for a Shared Tomorrow.” Distinguished speakers from around the world engaged in discussions on global economic trends, financial services, and investment opportunities, and Global Participation: The AFF attracted over 160 global speakers, both in-person and virtually, representing 70 countries and regions. Among the participants, 76% were CEOs and senior decision-makers.
Mayor Jopet along with Bataan Second District Rep. Abet Garcia, emphasized that fostering business growth in Hermosa is not only beneficial for the town but also contributes to the overall progress of Bataan province.
