MOTORCADE: 3RD LEG FOR TAX CAMPAIGN

The motorcade for the Province of Bataan’s Massive Tax Campaign through Public Address System for CY 2023 – a significant initiative aimed at promoting tax compliance and awareness, reached its third and final leg last May 12, 2023.

The campaign, headed by the Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO), under Treas. Alice R. Magpantay, received tremendous support and participation from all the Local Governent Units (LGUs) within the Province of Bataan, especially the 11 Municipal Treasurer’s Offices (MTOs) and the City Treasurer’s Office (CTO).

The motorcade commenced at Brgy. Batangas II in the Municipality of Mariveles.

It traversed the zigzag road of Brgy. Alas-Asin and reached the Camaya Coast border.

After crossing over to the Municipality of Bagac, the motorcade traveled through Brgy. Quinawan and Brgy. Saysain before reaching the Welcome Arch of the Municipality of Morong.

The procession continued through the barangays of Morong until ultimately reaching the Municipal Hall.

In preparation for the final leg of the motorcade, the PTO worked in coordination with the MTOs of Mariveles, Bagac and Morong, headed by Treas. Erwin L. Villapando, Treas Rhoda S. Agcaoile, and Treas. Melba V. San Juan, respectively.

Their collective efforts ensured a smooth and impactful event; including the establishment of an optimal route that maximized visibility and engagement with the community.

The PTO team extends its gratitude to the treasurers, their staff and officials for their efficiency and dedication throughout this three-part campaign.

Special thanks to LGU-Bagac for taking the initiative in directing their staff and Barangay officials to have their separate motorcade around the barangays which were not initially included in the route plan before joining the main procession along with the rest of the participants.

During the motorcade, the participants made use of this opportunity for engagement by distributing flyers to the locals who witnessed the procession.

This further contributed to raising tax compliance and awareness among the community members.
