New Orani Mayor donates patrol cars

Newly elected Orani Mayor Antonio “Jon” Arizapa, Jr. wasted no time in demonstrating his commitment to public service, by personally donating two patrol vehicles to the Orani Municipal Police Station in one of his first official moves since assuming office.

The donation, from the mayor’s own pocket, aims to enhance the police force’s mobility and response time to emergencies across the town’s barangays. Mayor Arizapa emphasized that properly equipped police units are vital to maintaining peace and ensuring the safety of Orani’s residents. According to local officials, Arizapa is the first mayor in Orani’s history to make such a personal contribution to the local police force.

Beyond bolstering security, the new mayor has also turned his attention to cleaning up the town—literally. Within days of taking office, he ordered the removal of garbage that had long been neglected around the municipal hall, directed the thorough scrubbing of the public market with water and soap, and initiated the repair of clogged drainage systems to prevent flooding in major streets. Residents say these early actions reflect a refreshing brand of leadership and offer renewed hope for genuine change in Orani.
