The Philippine Dental Association (PDA) Bataan Chapter bagged for the fourth time (four consecutive years) the association’s Most Outstanding Chapter Award for Category B.
The award recognizes dedicated and diligent dental professionals behind the success of their respective dental chapters, highlighting their innovative and insightful projects for improving the oral health conditions of communities including the most vulnerable segments.
Since 2020, the PDA Bataan Chapter has been recognized as the Most Outstanding Chapter for the following projects providing oral health services to vulnerable groups such as poor populations, pediatric cancer patients, persons deprived of liberty, students and parents, among others: Tahahan ng Sentrong Pangkalusugan, Bantay Ngipin Online Consultation, Dental Home for Every Juan, Oral Health Beyond Bars, Dentista Ko Si Mam, Ngiti ng Pag-asa sa Panahon ng Pandemya for Pediatric Cancer Patients at the Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center.
In receiving the Most Outstanding Chapter Award, the PDA Bataan Chapter was led in the past four years by the following presidents: Dr. Karen De Pano, Hinirang President, 2020-2021; Dr. Aris L. Fernandez, Sinagtala President, 2021- 2022; Dr. Mines Mina, Sandigan President, 2022-2023; and Dr. Gary Cristobal, Sambisig President, 2023-2024. In addition, Dr. Gary Cristobal was recognized as the Most Outstanding Chapter President for Category B in 2024. Past presidents of the PDA Bataan Chapter were also conferred the same award.
