In celebration of this year’s Environment Day anchored on the theme, “Aksyon para sa Natatanging Mundo”, the Provincial Government of Bataan (PGB), through the initiative of the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PGENRO), will be conducting a series of activities aimed at raising awareness and contributing to the protection of the environment.
Some of the activities are bamboo planting activity in Hermosa and Nipa/sasa planting activity in Talisay River, Balanga City on June 10; coastal clean-up drive in Morong on June 17; and planting of 10,000 seedlings in Limay on June 25, in observance of Arbor Day.
Bring Your Own Baunan (BYOB) at the Bunker will also be held wherein PGB employees are encouraged to bring their own food and beverage containers and utensils when buying at the pantry for the whole month of June.
The PG-ENRO will also conduct webinars on environment and natural resources for elementary, junior, and senior high school students on June 8, 15, and 22. On June 24, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the Provincial Planning and Development Office will cascade the results of the Integrated Risk Assessment of Bataan to members of the different Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO).
