In an effort to enhance transparency, accountability, and public accessibility, the Provincial Government of Bataan (PGB) organized an extensive re-orientation session on the implementation of the Freedom of Information (FOI) via Zoom on August 7, 2023.

Attended by various department heads and representatives, this event reaffirmed the government’s commitment to open governance. The FOI re-orientation provided a platform for government officials, employees, and stakeholders to familiarize themselves with the current principles, practices, and requirements associated with the FOI Act, which was discussed by Mr. John Wilmer Jimenez, Ms. Patricia Maranan, and Mr. Mart Ceneta from the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) – Freedom of Information Program Management Office (FOI-PMO).

The success of the aforesaid session is a manifestation of PGB’s commitment and dedication to transparent governance and improved public services. Furthermore, it also highlights Bataan’s readiness for modern communication adoption while prioritizing citizens’ right to information.
