The Provincial Government of Bataan and Diamond Land Resources Inc. officially sealed the PHP 17.6 billion Gateway Project on September 6, 2024, during a ceremonial signing led by Gov. Jose Enrique S. Garcia III and Diamond Land Resources President Pedro R. de Leon Jr. The project involves the reclamation of 247 hectares of offshore and foreshore land in Orion, designed to stimulate economic growth in the province.

Said project is expected to bring significant revenue to Bataan by attracting new businesses, industries and modern facilities; to make Orion a commercial and industrial centre ensuring it is an economic powerhouse within the region.

Beyond economic benefits, the project will also provide new homes and create job opportunities for locals. Said developments are expected to improve the overall standard of living for Bataeños, contributing to the province’s long-term vision of highly livable province and home to diverse economic investments resulting in resilient families.
