In a significant health initiative, 20 barangays across the province were each awarded ₱100,000.00 under the 1Bataan Seal of Healthy Barangay program for the first quarter of 2024, Monday morning.
The recognition ceremony was led by Bataan Vice Governor Cris Garcia, SP members, and Provincial Health Officer Dr. Rosanna Buccahan. In Hermosa, four barangays received this prestigious award: Brgy. A. Rivera, Brgy. Daungan, Brgy. Palihan, and Brgy. Pulo. Collectively, these barangays brought home a total of ₱400,000.00 for the municipality. The awards were accepted by Councilor Luz Samaniego, Municipal Health Officer Dr. Warren Valencia, and the respective punong barangays and council members.
Hermosa Mayor Jopet Inton emphasized that this achievement is a testament to the community’s collective effort to maintain a clean and healthy environment. “This is proof that through collective effort, we can achieve a clean and healthy environment for everyone,” he stated.
