Police visibility and response capability in Orani received a major boost as the Philippine National Police Regional Office 3 (PNP PRO3) and the municipal government turned over two brand-new mobile patrol units and two of ten motorcycles to the Orani Municipal Police Station on August 8, 2025. The turnover ceremony at the Orani Municipal Hall was led by PRO3 Regional Director PBGen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., Orani ABC President Marvin Dela Cruz and Orani Mayor Antonio “Jon” F. Arizapa Jr.
The acquisition is part of the PNP’s 5-Minute Response Time (5MRT) Program, a flagship initiative aimed at cutting police response time and ensuring swift action during emergencies. By providing local stations with modern patrol vehicles and motorcycles, the program seeks to improve mobility, enhance visibility, and strengthen public safety measures, especially in municipalities like Orani that have both urban centers and remote barangays.
“With stronger mobility, we can respond faster, serve better, and keep our communities safe,” PBGen. Peñones Jr. said. Mayor Arizapa lauded the PNP for prioritizing Orani’s security needs, stressing that the upgraded fleet will not only aid in maintaining peace and order but also foster public trust in local law enforcement.
