Reactivation of Mariveles-AFAB Partnerhip Steering Committee sought

The local government unit of Mariveles is working for the revival of Mariveles-AFAB Steering Committee (MAPSC). A Sangguniang Bayan (SB) joint committee meeting was recently held for the plan to reactivate said steering committee.

Councilor Ronald Arcenal, chairman of Committee on Trade and Commerce; Councilor Susan Murillo, chairperson of the Committee on Labor and Employment; and Liga ng Barangay Mariveles President and Councilor Jun Villapando, chairman of the Committee on Barangay Affairs initiated the meeting.

MAPSC ceased functioning during the last administration and its revival is seen as one of the tools for the progress and order of the industrialized municipality. The plan is in sync with the vision for progress of Mayor AJ Concepcion and Vice Mayor Lito Rubia.

The joint committee meeting was also attended by Councilor Ivan Ricafrente, Councilor Vonnel Isip, Councilor Dan Banal, and Councilor Omar Cornejo. Representatives of AFAB, Punong Barangay of Brgy. Malaya Henry Garcia, and Brgy Maligaya Kagawad Lucky Agustin.

Established in 2014, LGU Mariveles and AFAB agreed to mutually support and assist each other in ensuring the economic and social development of the FAB as a catalyst for growth that will benefit the lives of the people of Mariveles and the Bataan province.
