Public policy, legislative process, budget process, parliamentary rules and procedures, citizen engagement, and even how to deal with adverse media reports – these are among the topics discussed during the three-day executive course on legislation (ECL) for the 24 neophyte and returning members of the House of Representatives for which Bataan Congresswoman Ma. Angela S. Garcia recently received a certificate of completion.
The third and last batch of the ECL training course was organized by the Office of Secretary General of the House of Representatives (HR) in collaboration with the University of the Philippines-National College of Public Administration and Governance (UP-NCPAG) for Public and Executive Development (CPED) headed by Dean Dan Saguil.
Congresswoman Garcia said as a new member of the HR, she fervently hopes to craft laws beneficial to her constituents in the Third District of Bataan and the whole nation.
