Bataan 1st District Congressman Tony Roman visited the towns of Orani, Samal, Abucay, and Hermosa to extend assistance and check on residents affected by the recent onslaught of Typhoon Crising and the southwest monsoon (habagat). He was with his sister and former Congresswoman Geraldine Roman, whom he succeeded in office.
He thanked the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for their quick response to our request for relief goods. He acknowledged that no amount of aid can fully ease the hardship brought by the floods, but hoped the gesture would serve as a reminder that they are not alone.
The Congressman also said that their help does not end with the distribution of relief goods.
“We will continue working together for better and more answers to the recurring flooding in our communities,” he said in the vernacular.
