Newly seated Bataan 1st District Representative Tony Roman III has formally unveiled his initial batch of priority legislative measures for the 20th Congress, aiming to deliver tangible and meaningful impact to the lives of his constituents. The list includes 10 proposed laws focusing on social welfare, education, agriculture, innovation, public safety, and inclusive healthcare.
Among the top measures is the Kontra-Kickback sa Ayuda Act (House Bill No. 606), which seeks to ensure transparency and integrity in the distribution of government assistance. Other proposals include the Digital Teaching Excellence Act (HB 607), designed to strengthen digital education, and the Farmer Coopetition and Empowerment Act (HB 608), which supports agricultural cooperatives through fair competition and incentives.
Roman also proposed the Innovation and Learning Hubs Act of 2025 (HB 614), intended to build community-based centers for upskilling and lifelong learning, and the National English Competency Week Act (HB 615), which aims to promote English proficiency nationwide. To bolster public safety and infrastructure, he filed the Safe Overhead Electric Distribution, Cable, and Communication Lines Act (HB 617).
In the realm of health and inclusivity, Roman pushed for the National Autism Care Act (HB 618), which seeks to establish accessible and specialized care for persons with autism. Meanwhile, his Marine Aquaculture Zoning and Seaweed Tenure Security Act (HB 613) targets sustainable livelihood development in coastal communities.
Rep. Roman emphasized that these bills reflect his administration’s commitment to “Serbisyong May Puso,” aligning legislative priorities with the immediate and long-term needs of the people. As he steps into his first term in Congress, Roman vowed to champion policies that deliver real results, especially in the areas of livelihood, education, healthcare, and innovation.
