Mayor Alex Acuzar led the Municipality of Samal in joining the International Coastal Cleanup Day 2024 on September 21.

Members of the Sangguniang Bayan headed by Vice Mayor Ronnie Ortiguerra and the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer Arnel Cantor joined Acuzar in leading the clean up.

Approximately 3,483 volunteers trooped to Samal coastlines. They were representatives from 14 barangays, Angat Kolehiyo Educational Assistance scholars, employees from companies CPF Philippines Corporation and Bataan 2020, Department of Education Samal, and various local organizations. About 595 sacks of wastes were collected.

Mayor Acuzar expressed his gratitude to volunteers who helped clean the town coastlines.
