SM City Bataan launched its first electronic vehicle (EV) charging station in the province. The SM management said owners of electronic vehicles can now travel worry-free as SM Supermalls brought its EV charging station at the newly-opened mall.
“This initiative aims to provide a beneficial infrastructure for EV owners, encouraging the adoption of clean transportation option and reducing carbon emissions”, SM said. The management said users of EV can just park, pop and plug free of charge at SM City Bataan’s Wallbox Pulsar Plus AC charger that has a charging power of up to 7.4KW. It is available to EV brands of Audi, BMW, Fiat, Ford, GMC, Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Volkswagen and Hyundai, among others. The charging stations are open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. SM Supermalls is the first mall chain to establish in-mall EV charging sites in the Philippines, with multiple installed chargers in 27 malls. By opening more charging stations, SM has created the Philippines biggest chain of EV charging stations nationwide.
