The local government of Samal received a vehicle as a donation from a solar energy company.

The Samal Solar Renewable Energy Corporation recently turned over the vehicle to Samal LGU officials led by Mayor Alex Acuzar and Vice Mayor Ronnie Ortiguerra. Documents were signed by the company and LGU for the donation.

Municipal Administrator Jay Lat said Acuzar assigned the vehicle, a Mitsubishi L300, to be used as service vehicle for Samal students. “Mayor Alex Acuzar can assign the vehicle for other use but decided for service vehicle of students showing his deep concern for the future of Samal youths”, he pointed out. The corporation operates a solar farm in Barangay Gugo.
