The Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Bataan under the leadership of Vice Gov. Cris Garcia has passed an ordinance to promote organic agriculture in the province.
The provincial board approved Provincial Ordinance No. 25, also known as the “Organic Agriculture Ordinance of the Province of Bataan,” on its third and final reading during the regular session on November 4.
The ordinance that aims to institutionalize and promote organic agriculture across the province is authored and sponsored by Board Member Popoy Del Rosario.
It encourages sustainable agricultural practices that protect the environment, improve soil fertility, and support the health and well-being of farmers and consumers.
