SSS issues written notice to delinquent employers in Bataan

The Social Security System (SSS) Mariveles branch issued written notices to seven delinquent employers who failed to remit their employees’ SSS contributions within the prescribed payment period.

Based on records, the total delinquency of unpaid contributions, including penalties, amounted to P874,521.

These employers that were subjected to Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) Campaign today failed to comply with our billing letters that we sent to them. We are now giving them a non-extendable period of 15 days to coordinate; otherwise, we shall file legal action against them.

Should they have difficulty in paying their delinquency through one-time payment, they can avail of the Pandemic Relief and Restructuring Program 3 or also known as the Enhanced Installment Payment Program,” SSS Vice President for Luzon Central 1 Vilma Agapito said.

The RACE Campaign is a nationwide activity that aims to remind delinquent employers of their obligation under Republic Act 11199 or the Social Security Act of 2018. This year’s campaign also focused on promoting PRRP 3 to all employers with past-due contribution payments for at least six months. It offers flexible installment terms from nine to sixty months, depending on the employer’s total obligation. This program started on November 22, 2021 and will end on November 21, 2022.

Agapito advised the employers to coordinate with their assigned Account Officers in SSS Mariveles located at Basement, AFAB Administration Bldg., Mariveles, Bataan. They will be assisted in reconciling their records with SSS and filing the application for PRRP 3. Likewise, employees should regularly check their records and report to SSS of any unremitted contributions for proper action.

“From today’s operation alone, at least 20 employees are guaranteed with their SSS benefits and privileges once the employers settle their obligation. This activity will continue to ensure employer’s full compliance and members’ social security protection,” Agapito concluded.
