Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF), a global firm engaged in the manufacture of animal feed and known in the industry for its integrated agro-industry and food businesses owned by a Thailand national has donated to Samal Municipal Government an ultrasound machine worth more or less P3 million.

According to Jay Lat, municipal administrator, Mayor Alex Acuzar has ordered the Samal Rural Health Unit to exert effort to complete the hospital facilities before its inauguration the date of which has yet to be announced.

The RHU in Samal the groundbreaking of which was graced last year by Sen. Bong Go is going to look like a mini-hospital complete with laboratories, a pharmacy and birthing facilities. Local residents need not travel far to Balanga City for medical checkups when the RHU becomes operational. With roughly 39,000 population, Samal is a third class municipality known for muzzel, clams, capiz shells and “araro” a native cookie and favorite “pasalubong.”The post Thai firm donates ultrasound machine appeared first on 1Bataan.
