Volunteer Individuals for Peace (VIP) Bataan Chapter was formed on Wednesday by its founder and CHED Commissioner Ronald Adamat.
The commissioner led the chapter orientation attended by representatives from PNP, BJMP, Rotary Club of Balanga, 1Bataan Eagle Club, NCIP and Christian Church, and college students at Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) library.
The first batch of peace ambassadors of VIP Bataan took their oath before the CHED commissioner with Pastor Reynaldo Itliong as VIP provincial peace ambassador.
In his message, Adamat urged volunteers to take an active role in promoting peace.
He also said a person must have personal tranquility to have moral ascendancy to promote peace.
The BPSU Board of Regents also passed a resolution during its board meeting in the morning declaring BPSU as VIP Chapter.
The CHED commissioner appointed BPSU President Greg Rodis as chapter peace ambassador.
A peace corner will be established inside the BPSU library. Adamat established VIP, a non-government organization dedicated to peace works in his desire to promote the culture of peace and non-violence.
