Wheel clamps to immobilize illegally parked vehicles

To enhance traffic flow and prevent vehicular accidents along the Roman Superhighway, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Bataan presided by Vice Gov Cris Garcia, passed Provincial Ordinance no. 10 s 2023, an Ordinance providing for the use of wheel clamps to immobilize illegally parked vehicles imposing penalties for said violations.

Authored by Board Member Romano “Popoy” del Rosario, said Ordinance aims for the smooth flow of people and goods that will result to efficient, safe and unhampered economic viability in the province.

BM del Rosario added that the use of wheel clamps or tire lock system is very essential to immobilize illegally parked vehicles and issue parking violation notices. Said Ordinance states that the Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA) is empowered to conduct transport and traffic management including implementation of all traffic enforcement operations. To ensure that the Ordinance shall be properly implemented PNP- Highway Patrol of Bataan and the Provincial Treasurer’s Office will assist accordingly.
