Gov. Joet Garcia in promoting electric vehicles says the EVs are of valuable help to the local government units (LGUs) since they consume less fuel and do not pollute the environment.
The Governor made the remarks during the July 14 groundbreaking ceremonies for the construction of the service center of Hexagon Group of Companies, distributor of BYD vehicles, in Abucay, Bataan attended by Congressman Tony Roman III, Abucay Mayor Erik Martel, Hermosa Mayor Anne Adorable Inton, Vice Gov. Cris Garcia, former Hermosa Mayor Jopet Inton and other local officials.
Gov. Garcia mentioned that the Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA) uses electric vehicles in patrolling the span of Roman Highway.
He added that electric vehicle free charging stations are available at SM City and Vista Mall both in Balanga City and more of such charging stations are to be installed in other parts of the province in the near future.
