The Provincial Government of Bataan thru the Public-Private Partnership & Investment Center (PPPIC) in partnership with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHIL) conducted today, October 22, a webinar on “Raising the Economy by Acquiring Protection of the Intellectual Property of your Community (REAP IP)”.

PPPIC Head Abul Khayr Alonto II said the activity aims to emphasize the importance of intellectual property of entrepreneurs so as to protect their goods and services from possible imitation. Discussions facilitated by speakers from IPOPHIL focused on trademarks, copyright, patents, and industrial designs.

Participants are Business Permits and Licensing Officers and Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Officers from the 11 towns and lone city of the province, as well as representatives from various national government agencies in Bataan.

More activities of this nature are in the pipeline to further empower our entrepreneurs and thereby contribute more in keeping our economy vibrant amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
