The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in coordination with the Provincial Government of Bataan, conducted the 2024 Husay Barangay on October 10, 2024, at the Bataan Tourism Pavilion. Husay Barangay aims to recognize and honor the barangays that exemplify excellence in public service delivery.

It highlighted the ceremonial signing of the Pledge of Commitment to the Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Iwasan (BIDA) Program, as well as the recognition for the Barangay Awardees for their numerous key achievements in local governance, including the Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangay (SGLGB), the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentive Award (LTIA), the Barangay Ecological Compliance Audit (BECA), the Barangay Road Clearing Operations (BaRCO), the Barangay Kalinisan Day (BarKaDa), the Halina’t Magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay sa Barangay (HAPAG), and the inauguration of the Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Funds (SGLGIF), where four barangays from the Municipality of Samal were awarded service vehicles.

Governor Joet Garcia, Vice Governor Cris Garcia, Congressman Jett Nisay, DILG Assistant Regional Director Jay Timbreza, DILG Bataan Provincial Director Belina Herman, LMP President Tonypep Raymundo, Mariveles Mayor AJ Concepcion, staff of District Representatives, LnB President Romeo Austria and Punong Barangays, together with their secretaries and treasurers were present at the event.
